For social networking, what you use for your avatar, or picture, says a lot about you. Some choose a cartoon character. For others, it’s a picture of their kid. Still others use a cropped in snapshot of them with a friend’s arm still on their shoulder.
These are all fine when you are using social networking to connect with your friends and family.
But, when you are looking to be taken seriously as a blogger or social media expert, it’s time to think about the image you’re projecting with these casual shots.
I’m not suggesting going for a newspaper-quality head shot from a studio. Rather, it’s a good idea to have some casual head shots taken of you, showing your personality a little.
For this craft blogger, I went with an all-natural feel in the photos to show her lovely creative side.
