Perhaps your past experience with getting your family’s photos done goes something like this:
Everyone gets all dressed up in their best dress clothes, mom puts on so much makeup she’s barely recognizable, there’s so much gel in junior’s hair that it looks like an oil slick, and dad just wants to get this over with to watch the big game.
You drive to an intimidating-looking studio and hope you’re on time since you only have a 15 minute session. The photographer uses squeaky toys to get everyone’s attention and frequently orders, “Say cheese!”
Then afterwards, a pushy salesperson tries to get you to buy overpriced print packages of photos of your family looking extremely uncomfortable and awkward. Don’t even think of asking for digital files so you can share them with your friends on Facebook—they don’t sell them.
That’s exactly what my first family photo experience was like. My son was just four weeks old, and it was one of the most stressful situations I had ever experienced. That’s when I thought: there has got to be a better way.
At every photo shoot, my goal is to make it as fun and relaxed for everyone as possible. Maybe your family enjoys a fun outing at the park. Or maybe you’d prefer a leisurely stroll downtown. Or, perhaps, you’d rather just stay home and make a fort or jump on the bed! This time, there just happens to be a photographer tagging along capturing the interaction between your family members.
And, if you want a few posed photos, we’ll get those too. Easy peesy.
After your photo session, you will receive your high-resolution photos in a downloadable, online gallery. I’ll even upload the best to Facebook and do the hard part for you. When you’re ready to order prints, you order them at my cost, no markup. ‘Cause that’s how I roll.
Oh, and yes—there are lollipops for everyone!
