Newborn Session
There is nothing sweeter than a newborn baby. Those first few weeks will fly by, and you’ll want to capture every inch of your perfect, teeny-tiny human.
Newborn sessions are scheduled in baby’s first two weeks and we come to you. We’ll capture sweet images of baby alone, plus family photos.
We only accept a limited number of newborns per month. Contact us before baby is due to get on our calendar.
Newborn sessions are scheduled to take place on weekday mornings only.
Twins are no extra charge; contact us for pricing for triplets and other multiple births.
Showcase that sweet little bundle of joy in artistic poses with beautiful wraps, headbands and hats. We bring a variety of blankets, wraps and props for baby to your session, and highly encourage you to incorporate items that are special to your family into the shoot.
Family photos are done in a directed posing style for stunning photos of you and your sweet baby. A more casual, relaxed setting for the family can usually be accomplished within the time frame as well.
This session may last 3 to 4 hours, depending on baby’s mood, feedings and diaper changes.
This gently directed session captures your new little family in a more documentary or photojournalistic style. Mom, dad and any siblings will be captured interacting with baby naturally in your home environment.
Baby will be posed on a very natural, organic way. We bring a handful of neutral swaddling blankets, but props are minimized.
This session may last 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on baby’s mood, feedings and diaper changes.
Traditional hospital photos are awkward and the photographers (who are really just salespeople with a camera) can be pushy and annoying while you’re trying to get acquainted with your newest family member.
Let us alleviate the stress and we’ll stop by for a quick, 15-30 minute session to get some first photos of baby, mom & dad in the hospital. We’ll deliver your photos within 48 hours so you can share beautiful images of your little bundle quickly.
This session must be booked in conjunction with a Signature or Lifestyle Newborn Session; not available separately.

We know how exciting it is to have professional family portraits done, so our goal is get the photos back to you as soon as possible.
You’ll receive your photos in a full-resolution online gallery within six weeks after your session date, but usually much sooner.
It’s okay if it’s cloudy, chilly or warm, but we typically reschedule sessions if it’s raining or if the temperature is predicted to be under 40 degrees or over 90 degrees.
In the event of inclement weather, photo sessions will be rescheduled, and we will work with you to find a mutually-agreeable date.
Weather-related rescheduling evaluation is done within one day of the photo session date, or sometimes the day-of.
There’s no need to worry about an extended forecast—this is Missouri. Most of the time, the weather changes anyway!
Sessions involving children and babies scheduled to take place November through March should be planned indoors. If the weather happens to cooperate, we can head outside, but sessions will not be rescheduled due to weather during this time of the year.

Popular photo session locations are parks, green spaces, the trail, your home, downtown, and on campus.
If you’re the adventurous type, we can find fun and unique settings as well. The key is choosing a place that fits your family’s personality!
Your session price includes locations within a 15-mile radius of Columbia, Missouri.
We no longer have a dedicated studio space.
Honestly, studio photography just isn’t our favorite, especially with kids. We need room to run around and have fun!
If you really want studio-style photos, let us know and we can discuss the options.
Absolutely!
We charge a $25 per hour travel fee (round trip) to cover the cost of our time, gas and expenses.
For example, a trip to Jefferson City would be $25; Lake of the Ozarks would be $50 and St. Louis or Kansas City would be $100.
Cost is based upon the Google Maps estimate from our office and is rounded to the nearest half hour..

We work around your schedule as much as possible.
Since weekends are easiest to get families all together, they tend to be the most popular, which also means they book up fast.
Make sure to schedule early, especially during peak wedding season (May, June, September, and October) and near the holidays.
We like to book any session early morning or late afternoon for best lighting.
We can do a session around mid-day if we need to, but our location choices will be limited.
Absolutely!
Your session fee gives you personal reproduction rights to your photos, so you are welcome to use them in any non-commercial manner you wish.
We totally understand the need for privacy in today’s world and we respect the wishes of our clients.
If you would prefer that we not share your photos on Facebook or on our website, just let us know.
Additionally, we can provide your photos to you in a password-protected gallery that only you can access.
We offer full-resolution files in an online gallery, which has an option to download the photos to your computer.
It’s very easy to download and view your files and allows for quick sharing of photo files between us.
For this reason, we do not offer disks of your images.
Although we highly recommend our print lab because of their quality, prices and speed, you are welcome to use any print lab you wish.
You’ll receive a print release upon the delivery of your gallery.
